Day 2 Nairobi / Nanyuki
Embark on a scenic drive to Nanyuki and the Sweetwaters Tented Camp, set in a 24,000-acre game reserve at the foot of Mount Kenya. This afternoon take a game drive through this privately owned reserve. (B L D)

Day 3 Nanyuki / Samburu Game Reserve
Adventure leads north into wild, semi-desert bush country, home to the Samburu Game Reserve, where an afternoon safari may reveal elephant and unique northern species such as reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra and the long-necked gerenuk. (B L D)

Day 4 Samburu Game Reserve
On morning and afternoon game drives, see more of Samburu’s typical species, including the Somali ostrich, vulturine guinea fowl and, possibly, the elusive leopard. (B L D)

Day 5 Samburu / Masai Mara Game Reserve
Fly into the land of the Maasai, a cattle-herding people still proudly traditional in their daily lives, and continue to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, home to Kenya’s richest concentration of wildlife. (B L D)

Days 6–7 Masai Mara Game Reserve
The Masai Mara is Kenya’s northern extension of the Greater Serengeti ecosystem. On morning and afternoon game drives, view some of Africa’s largest prides of lion, herds of zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, cheetah and hyena, then gather for a “farewell to Africa” dinner. (B L D)

Day 8 Masai Mara / Nairobi
Soar over the Great Rift Valley and return to Nairobi to board your international flight this evening. (B)
